Long Time

I have not felt like blogging at all lately, I've just been too busy with birthdays and Thanksgiving and now preparations for Christmas. I am pretty excited for Christmas this year, we're finally getting the kiddos their bunk beds and I can't wait. We also get to pick out some twin size bedding so that'll be really fun. I got some really cute pictures of the kids the other day, Reece absolutely loves his cowboy boots and he'd gotten them on all by himself and was so proud. He always says "I did it" when he manges to get his boots on by himself and it comes out so cute. I love how he looks with just his diaper and boot on, and his boots are on the wrong feet too so that makes it even cuter.

He's making one of his silly faces in this picture, I love it.
Muscles.
Marching through the kitchen, I couldn't really get him to hold still for a picture that day.
My little monkey.
CHEEEEESE!!!

Could Somebody Tell Me Who This Is?

I don't recognize this child at all. Reece looks like a boy in this picture, not a baby. I'm not ready to admit that he's growing up, he still feels like such a baby when I hold him in my arms, but when I look at this picture I don't see a baby at all. How cute are those little boxer briefs, I love how they go all the way down to his knees. And in case you were wondering, NO, he's not potty trained, he's barely even trying yet and I'm not ready to really push. Actually about 5 minutes after I took this picture he pooped in those adorable little unders. I guess eventually I'll have to accept that he's going to grow up, but I don't think I'm ready quite yet.

Sierra's First (Official) Haircut

Sierra had her first official haircut on Sunday. I say official because some may remember our little mishap a few months ago. All I did was let them trim it, she still doesn't have much hair for a four year old so I didn't want to do anything drastic, but I'm hoping the trim will get things rolling and her hair will start to grow more now.
Before the cut.
Being perfectly still.
First snip.
She watched herself in the mirror the whole time, she didn't move a muscle.
End Result. You probably wouldn't be able to tell her hair was cut if i didn't say anything, which is exactly what I wanted. She kinda looks like a weirdo in this picture for some reason.

Hats And Glasses

Just a quick update to say nothings going on around here and some cute pics of the kids in their winter hats and sunglasses. Sierra always helps Reece dress up with her, it's pretty cute. Their pretty good at posing for pictures too.

Piper Update

So we've had a few issues with our sweet little puppy. Mainly the fact that no matter what we do she smells so bad. I try giving her baths and she still stinks as soon as I dry her off. Potty training is taking longer than Dave and I had expected and so that is frustrating and it feels like she spends a lot of time in her kennel because if we cant keep a vigilant eye on her she has accidents. We've considered getting rid of her, but as soon as we get close to actually doing it I change my mind. She really is so sweet and adorable. The kids love her so much, except when she's jumping all over them, I can't figure out how to keep her from doing that. And to top it all off the other night she was so sweet with Reece that she weaseled her way back onto my good side. I could tell she was starting to get tired so I laid her on the couch by Reece and she snuggled up and laid her head on top of his. It was so cute and Reece was loving it. Sierra came in and got a good amount of snuggles out of her too.
Piper looks so cute here, like she's getting ready to puppy pounce on something.
She was a little more playful when Sierra came over and started playing with her hair, Sissy thought it was pretty funny.

Reece was starting to fall asleep in this one, his eyes are rolling back in his head.

How cute is this, talk about priceless.

Catching up, part 2

I really want to do this post justice because our vacation was awesome. I cant say enough good things about where we went. Our room was perfect, the price was perfect and the water park was perfect. We had so much fun. We arrived at the hotel on Saturday at 1, buy couldn't check in until around 2:30 when our room was ready. We could've gone into the water park early and swam before our room was ready, but we just looked around and than waited in the hotel lounge. We went with Dave's parents and the room was perfect for all of us. It was a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with a full kitchen and and washer/dryer. His parents had their own room and bathroom, and a small kitchen, but they were still connected to the living room, dining room area by a door. We had a huge bathroom which was nice for bathing the kids and the kids slept in the living room area, Reece in his pack and play and Sierra on the pull out sofa. We even had a roof top hot tub on our floor, which we shared with only 2 other rooms, pretty sweet.
The water park was so awesome. The kids loved the little toddler swim area and the hot tub. Reece got really good at going under water and we spent a lot of time in the hot tub with him jumping off the side to me so he could go under water and I'd raise him out after a few seconds. He did this over and over and over again, it was really cute. I'll post a video later. They both loved going down the little slides and Reece actually got really good at it. i would walk him up the stairs and then i would walk around to the bottom of the slide to catch him, than we would walk back over to the stairs and do it again, we did this for hours, but he loved it so much that it didn't bother me one bit. It was nice that Sierra was able to play in the toddler area with no help, it was only one foot deep so I didn't have to worry to much because she could hold her head above water easily. She was even able to touch in the hot tub the first 2 days until they filled it up and she was really proud of that. Dave loved the continuous wave for body surfing. He said it was really hard and it took a lot of strength to control. He actually got pretty good and could do a few tricks, but he never tried actually surfing standing up. He said he'd need more time to perfect it.
We had so much fun and we definitely want to go again with a big group. It was a really fun and inexpensive vacation because we only had to pay for gas and our room. The water park was included in our room and we brought all of our food with us so we didn't have to eat out at all, big money saver.
They loved this slide.
Watching daddy surf.

Dave was really good, but I was too chicken to try it.
They went down together a few times, but then they told us they had to go one at a time.

Watching bob the builder on our first night.
They were so tired by Sunday afternoon, they went down for naps so easily, they were right in the living room with us and just closed their eyes and were of the slumber land.

Lots Of Catching Up To Do, Part 1

I am way behind on my blogging and it will probably take me several posts to catch up on everything so I'm going to start with Halloween and I'll get to our vacation as soon as possible.

The kids were so cute on Halloween, Reece was a cowboy and Sierra was a fraidy cat, because she's such a chicken butt about anything scary. They looked so adorable all dressed up, Sierra got to have make-up for her nose and whiskers so Reece, of course had to have some too so he ended up with a mustache, talk about cute. The kids got to go trick-or-treating with their friends at school around some of the businesses nearby. When we got home I took them around the neighborhood for a little bit, but we only got to about 10 houses before Reece was crying for me to carry him so we went home and got ready for the trunk-or-treat. They did a big desert feed at the church building before they started the trunk-or-treat, they didn't let the kids outside until 8 o'clock and by that point it was pretty cold so the kiddos didn't last long and we went home with very little candy. I guess it's no big deal, but this is the least amount of candy we've gotten and this year the kiddos are allowed to actually have a little bit more than in previous years. I'm kind of a mean mommy who deprives her kids of stuff like candy and treats. I don't know why I'm like that, but I've let them have more than usual lately so i guess I'm getting nicer, or lazier, I don't really know.
Dave stayed home and handed out candy o the neighborhood kids. He actually dressed up in a scary costume and sat outside like a decoration and then scared the kids when they came up. I wish I'd gotten some video, the neighbors even sat out in their yard and watched him.

She loved having make-up on her face.

Such a cute little cowboy, his hat was too big though, it wouldn't stay on his head, even with the string i added.

Showing of her tail.

He looks like he's square dancing in this picture.

Reece is such a sweet boy. After baths tonight, I told him to find his silky and he got it and climbed right into bed all by himself. I hadn't even said anything about putting him to bed, although that was my plan, and he just crawled right up and laid down. I love how cooperative both of my kiddos are about bedtime, sometimes I wish they would LET me rock and snuggle them to sleep, but I'm so grateful that I don't HAVE to rock them to sleep every night. Doesn't Bubba look so sweet in these pics, my baby's getting so big, WAAAAHHHH!

Pumpkin Carving

We finally got around to carving our pumpkins last night. The kids had so much fun pulling all of the "guts" out, I didn't know how Reece would respond to this part because of his sensory issues, but he had no problem with it.
Opening his pumpkin for the first time, he has kind of a disgusted look on his face.

Opening her pumpkin, she couldn't wait to dig in.
She cleaned out her own pumpkin and then did most of mine.

Helping daddy pop out the pieces of her Jack-O-Lantern.
The final product.
I let Reece help me do the cutting on his pumpkin, so he basically designed it himself.
Mine is the monster on the left, and Dave's is the haunted house next to mine.

Red Robin

After the pumpkin Patch yesterday the kids and I went with Marshall and Nichole to Red Robin for lunch. I always dread taking the kids out to eat by myself because they can be pretty naughty, but they were actually really good, and I got some really cute pictures of them too.

These pics with the basket on their heads turned out really cute.

This is probably the only bite she took of her grilled cheese sandwich.
What is it with kids and balloons?

Makeshift floss.

Tanner being a cutie.
Carter never smiles for me.
