A special Message

Our nephew Hunter turns 4 today. We miss him and the rest of his family since they moved to Massachusetts over a year ago. Sierra let me record a special message for Hunter, unfortunately he'll probably be in bed by now, I had to wait for my camera batteries to charge so I couldn't get this up any earlier, but I'm sure he'll appreciate it just as much even if it's late. I did about 5 videos of Sissy, they were all pretty cute, but I like the intensity of this one...

Maximus

I headed down the hallway last week and found Max asleep. He looked so funny I had to take a picture.

Update

I keep looking at the clock and it's not even 8:00. How can I be so tired. I hate that I have shows that I'm addicted to every night of the week. I don't get to go to bed until 10 and then I'm up at 5:30, besides the fact that I'm up with Sierra at 3 or 4. She seems to think that when she wakes up to go potty in the middle of the night that it's time to be up for the day, it's making me CRAZY! We've been really busy around here lately. We're trying to get into a house, to rent and possibly buy eventually. We've had a few things come up that we thought would be perfect, but they haven't worked out. I've been trying not to get my hopes up until we have something final because the first house was a huge disappointment and I don't want to go through that again.
Sierra has been loving her gymnastics class. She gets excited every time I tell her we're going. I see improvements at every class. She can already do a skin the cat all by herself. that's where you hang on the bars and flip your body through the hole your arms make with the bar. I'll try to get a video of her doing it tomorrow.
Other than that nothing big is going on around here, other than that we've started hanging out with some old friends that we haven't seen in almost 2 years. They have a little boy and Sierra loves to play with him. It's nice for her to have a playmate, plus they entertain each other so well that we get a little break.

Teefers

I think Reece is finally going to get some teeth. I wasn't actually expecting it for a few months, since Sierra didn't have any teeth until she was 16 months, but I'm almost positive it wont be long. I try to check in his mouth, but he refuses to let me near his gums. He's started doing this thing with his tongue where he presses it against his lower gums over and over. It makes his tongue look really fat, it's pretty funny.

New Toys

Reece was fascinated by an empty Dr. Pepper box today. He kept crawling into the kitchen to play with it. Every time I would move him back to the livingroom, he would turn around and immediately head back to "his" box. It was so cute to watch him play because he would jabber happily and yell as loud as he could as he shook the box around. I guess I know what to get Reece for Christmas this year. Haha

Gym Video

I finally remembered to get a video of Sierra at gymnastics. She is loving her class, she's even made a friend. She sits by this little girl and they talk and play, it's so sweet. I freaked out when I was taking this video, you'll see why.

I'll have to get over my fears of her falling, but that could've been a bad one. Atleast rings isn't a womans event.

Kicky

David and Reece were playing the cutest game the other day, I had to get a video of it. The hardest part was getting Sierra to be quiet, she was frustrated because she wasn't getting any attention at that moment. I managed to get about 30 seconds of the boys playing together before Sierra got in the way.

Buh-buh

I sometimes wonder why we even named Reece. I never call him by his name and Sierra rarely does. In this house he goes by Buh-buh. I got some pictures of my Buh-buh at daycare a few day ago.

He always has one of these rings hanging out of his mouth.
Playing with mommy, we were sticking our tongues out at each other.
Darn cute!

Beliefs

As most people who read this know, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been dealing with an issue lately, I wont go into details, where I've had to stick up for what I believe is right. It was so hard. I was put in the middle of a difficult situation, where I had to make a very difficult decision. Whatever choice I made someone was going to be upset with me, which is hard for me because I don't do well with confrontation. And this involved some of my family which makes it even worse because my family is the most important thing in my life. I just want everyone to know that I know I did the right thing and I'm sorry that I was put in the position to have to make a decision that would affect so many people, possibly negatively. I love ALL of my family more than anything else and hope that this situation wont affect any of the relationships in my life.
I just needed to get that off my chest, I hope this isn't a downer post.

helping out a friend

My best friend Shannon is trying to win a quilt so she needs people to go onto this site and leave a comment that she referred them. It's really easy, only takes a minute. Leave her blog site on the comment section: www.texasbowers.blogspot.com
Hope this helps you out Shan.

Starting Early

I recently got a Nintendo DS, which is so much fun. I only have one game for it, but I play almost every day. One of the games is similar to tetris, which I love, and Sierra has figured out how to play it. She knows exactly how to get to the right screen and open up the game. She's not very good at the actual game play, but she likes to stack all of the pieces up to the top until she loses, then start over and do it again. She's definitely taking after her father, they sit on the couch playing video games together all of the time. I guess it's good bonding time for them, or it would be if they were actually playing "together".

Still Fits

I was going through some stuff in our closets the other day and ran across the costume Sierra wore for Halloween when she was one. I took it out to put it on Reece just to see how cute he would look, even though it's a pink lamb, but of course Sierra wanted in on the action so I tried it on her and IT FIT! It's been 2 years since she wore this costume, which my mother-in-law made, with some help from myself, and it still fit her almost perfectly. I can't remember it being really big on her when she wore it the first time, but it must've been.

Gym

Sierra started her first gymnastics class yesterday. She had so much fun. The teacher was really surprised at how strong she was for her size. She kept trying to give Sierra easier tasks than the bigger girls, but Sierra would start trying to do what the big girls did and completely shock the teacher. I think she's a natural. She really liked all of the things they did, but had trouble waiting in line after a while. The class lasted an hour so by the second half she was getting a little bit distracted by the older kids that were working out in other areas, but I think she'll get better about that. I forgot to take a video of her, but I got some cute pics. I promise to put up a video next week sometime.

Update

He is finally doing it. Reece can crawl with hands and knees. He doesn't do it all of the time, but he can do it and it is so cute. I got this video of him at daycare today. I am so excited for him to be crawling, I was getting worried that he wouldn't get control over his little body, but he's finally figured it out. I'm not excited for the extra attention I'll have to pay to him, but I love when my kids meet new milestones.

Turtle, Turtle

I was just looking through some old pictures on my computer and found one of Reece that I took a few weeks ago. I snagged this turtle costume from work because Sierra has a picture in it from when she was 1. I love the smile on Reece's face, he looks so proud of himself. For the record, this isn't Reece's official costume this year, to see pictures of that you'll have to wait until Hallowen.
