Reece has started bringing me a diaper and saying here, mama when he needs a diaper change, it is so adorable. He even said thank-you today after I'd finished.

How old is he? 29, but he'll be 30 in a few weeks!
Who eats more? Definitely Dave, he's always snacking on something.
Who said I love you first? He did, but I think I said it the next day, I was too nervous when he first said it to say anything back.
Who is taller? Dave, by a few inches.
Who sings better? We both sing really well, in my opinion, but he's more shy about singing so not many people have heard him.
Who is smarter? Me, hands down!
Who does the laundry? I do, he only does his own every now and then. I'm kinda picky about sorting and folding so I just do it rather than fixing what he does wrong. I wish he'd put the laundry away though.

Who mows the lawn? We've only had to do this since the summer started and I love doing it, he's done it once and I've done it the rest of the time.
Who cooks dinner? Mostly me because he works later than I do, but he does occasionally.
Who drives? When we drive together he usually drives, for some reason I still feel nervous with him as a passenger.!
Who is more stubborn? He'd say me, but I say him.
Who kissed who first? He kissed me on the cheek at the new years dance we met at, he says he wanted to kiss me on the lips, but i was a shy girl and I didn't even know him yet..

Who has more friends? I guess I do, but neither of us has very many.
Who is more sensitive? Me, but not as bad as I used to be.
Who has more siblings? Well it used to be a tie at 6 until my dad remarried and had my little brother so now I win, plus I have technically 5 step- siblings, so if you count those I blow him out of the water.

Long Time

Wow, it's been a while since I've been in the mood to post anything. Probably because it's summer and it's so nice outside. There hasn't been a whole lot going on around here lately, basically work and home, dealing with the kids, is all I do. I do have one passion as of now, So You Think You Can Dance. This is my favorite summer show, it's basically the only one that I watch. If you don't watch it already, you should because it's awesome. It shows on Wed. at 8 and Thur. at 9 on FOX. For those who do watch let me know who you like, my favorite couples are: Katee and Joshua, Twitch and Kherrington, and Courtney and Kev.
Sierra's gymnastics place closed down so we are starting her in a new gym. I am so sad because i love all of the people she's been with, but they are moving their gym about an hour away and with gas prices that's just too far. i really hope she does well with these new people, I'm going to take her in sometime next week to try it out.

Siblings

I love watching Sierra and Reece play together. She is so loving toward him, but also bossy. Sometimes she seems like she's even trying to parent him which is really cute. Earlier she actually put him in a time out and spanked his bum, It was all I could do not to bust up laughing. With Reece learning to walk, Sierra is a really big help. He only needs a little bit of support and shes perfect when she holds his hands because he still feels a little unsteady which really helps him figure out balance. He's actually standing up in the middle of the room for a few seconds and letting go of furniture and standing for a little bit. I have a feeling it wont be too much longer. I think we'll definitely make it before he turns 2.

Just A Quick Question

Sierra's birthday is coming up and I'm trying to plan her party. We want to have a BBQ in our backyard with all of our family and friends, but I know we can't afford to provide food for the amount of people who would come. Is it rude to do a potluck BBQ/Birthday party together. We would provide all of the hamburgers, hot dogs and Polish sausage, plus all of the fixings and just ask that each family bring some sort of a side dish. I really want to have a big get together this year now that we have our own yard, but I don't want to break the bank. Let me know what you all think, I'm just curious about the etiquette.

Snuggle Bugs

After baths the other night, I snuggled up with the kiddos in bed to watch a movie before they had to go to sleep. We do this a lot, especially if I'm tired and it's too early for bed time. It's a good way for us to have some close time together without me having to chase Reece around, or entertain Sissy. Also I get some good snuggles from Bubba, he's never been a big cuddler so I take all I can get. The kids looked so sweet I had to get the camera, I love when their all clean and in their jammies. Sierra couldn't break away from the movie for more than one picture, but she did at least hug her brother when I prompted her to, although he was finished snuggling her by that point. I think we were watching Enchanted, sissy and I love that movie we watch it several times a week, Sierra's even learning the words to the songs so we sing along.

Therapy

I took some really cute pictures of Reece at therapy today. Every shot I took was so adorable, he was being so photogenic. He's doing really well in therapy, he's gotten really strong, but still has the sensory issues, although he's improving there too. I think s soon as he gets a hang on balance he'll be really close to walking. Hopefully that'll happen some time this summer. I never get tired of looking at these pics, they just make me smile, he's so happy. And the tears on his face aren't from crying, we'd just been out in the wind.

Gatherings

We we over to Melanie's house yesterday afternoon so the kids could play and the adults could visit. We didn't plan anything big, we just let the kids run through the sprinkler and wade in the little pool, but it was fun to get together. We don't have nearly enough gatherings even though most of us live really close together. Reece was so excited about the pool, he crawled right over and got in all by himself, he was kinda shocked by the water though. Sissy hadn't run through a sprinkler all summer and she was really excited, she loved letting the water rain down on her.

Reece kept watching Sissy run through the sprinkler but he wouldn't go join her.
