Beliefs

As most people who read this know, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been dealing with an issue lately, I wont go into details, where I've had to stick up for what I believe is right. It was so hard. I was put in the middle of a difficult situation, where I had to make a very difficult decision. Whatever choice I made someone was going to be upset with me, which is hard for me because I don't do well with confrontation. And this involved some of my family which makes it even worse because my family is the most important thing in my life. I just want everyone to know that I know I did the right thing and I'm sorry that I was put in the position to have to make a decision that would affect so many people, possibly negatively. I love ALL of my family more than anything else and hope that this situation wont affect any of the relationships in my life.
I just needed to get that off my chest, I hope this isn't a downer post.

helping out a friend

My best friend Shannon is trying to win a quilt so she needs people to go onto this site and leave a comment that she referred them. It's really easy, only takes a minute. Leave her blog site on the comment section: www.texasbowers.blogspot.com
Hope this helps you out Shan.

Starting Early

I recently got a Nintendo DS, which is so much fun. I only have one game for it, but I play almost every day. One of the games is similar to tetris, which I love, and Sierra has figured out how to play it. She knows exactly how to get to the right screen and open up the game. She's not very good at the actual game play, but she likes to stack all of the pieces up to the top until she loses, then start over and do it again. She's definitely taking after her father, they sit on the couch playing video games together all of the time. I guess it's good bonding time for them, or it would be if they were actually playing "together".

Still Fits

I was going through some stuff in our closets the other day and ran across the costume Sierra wore for Halloween when she was one. I took it out to put it on Reece just to see how cute he would look, even though it's a pink lamb, but of course Sierra wanted in on the action so I tried it on her and IT FIT! It's been 2 years since she wore this costume, which my mother-in-law made, with some help from myself, and it still fit her almost perfectly. I can't remember it being really big on her when she wore it the first time, but it must've been.

Gym

Sierra started her first gymnastics class yesterday. She had so much fun. The teacher was really surprised at how strong she was for her size. She kept trying to give Sierra easier tasks than the bigger girls, but Sierra would start trying to do what the big girls did and completely shock the teacher. I think she's a natural. She really liked all of the things they did, but had trouble waiting in line after a while. The class lasted an hour so by the second half she was getting a little bit distracted by the older kids that were working out in other areas, but I think she'll get better about that. I forgot to take a video of her, but I got some cute pics. I promise to put up a video next week sometime.

Update

He is finally doing it. Reece can crawl with hands and knees. He doesn't do it all of the time, but he can do it and it is so cute. I got this video of him at daycare today. I am so excited for him to be crawling, I was getting worried that he wouldn't get control over his little body, but he's finally figured it out. I'm not excited for the extra attention I'll have to pay to him, but I love when my kids meet new milestones.

Turtle, Turtle

I was just looking through some old pictures on my computer and found one of Reece that I took a few weeks ago. I snagged this turtle costume from work because Sierra has a picture in it from when she was 1. I love the smile on Reece's face, he looks so proud of himself. For the record, this isn't Reece's official costume this year, to see pictures of that you'll have to wait until Hallowen.
