Friends

So I took the kids to Ben Franklin's last night to look around and I heard this song, like over the intercom, only it wasn't, it was Sierra playing with a singing bear. You squeeze it's hand and it starts to sing some song about friendship, I cant remember which one, really, really loudly. Sierra sat down in front of the bear to listen and it was all I could do to convince her to say good-bye. When she finally was ready she started waving to the bear and then making the bear wave back at her, it was actually really cute.
When we walked by the toy section she found this little tiger and I had to let her carry it around the store with us while we were browsing. When it was time to leave I told her we had to put it back and she looked at me with these longing eyes and said, "but he's my best friend." Oh my gosh, it was so cute. Surprisingly, I had the willpower to tell her no and we put it back and went home, but it was tough. Why does it have to be so hard not to spoil your kids?

Growing pains

My baby boy is growing up. I finally found a sippy cup that he will drink from. I've been trying for over a month to transition him from the bottle, but every time I tried a cup he'd put it to his mouth and then scream. Sierra was really easy to break from the bottle, but, for some reason, Reece acts like I'm trying to cut off one of his arms every time a sippy cup so much as touches his lip. You can only imagine than how thrilled I am that he is finally willing to drink from this cup, which I searched everywhere for. I had seen these at the grocery store, they have a soft tip which I thought might do the trick, but they only had them in girly colors. I probably looked at 5 stores before I found this one. Now my only problem is going to be having only one cup that he'll drink from.

Baby Blues

I just love this picture of Reece, it totally melts my heart. He looks so sweet, which he is most of the time. Ok, he's kind of a handful, and a mama's boy, but I dont mind.

lovin' it

Can I just say that I am loving doing this blog. It gives me something to do in the evenings after the kids are in bed besides sit and watch TV. I even made David help me move the computer into the living room, it was in Reece's bedroom which made it very difficult to post anything after he had gone to bed, lest he should hear the clicking of my fingers on the keys and decide it was time to wake up. I just hope I have enough interesting things to say. Keep up with the comments, they always make me smile.

Nighty night

I took these pictures of Sierra and Reece a few weeks apart. I love to sneak peeks at them when their asleep, they seem so sweet and innocent, which can be a complete change from how they are when they're awake.

Nick Nolte's look alike, am I right?

Triple Play

This last April we went to Triple Play, an indoor water park in Coeur d'Alene, for our nephews birthday. It was a lot of fun and we didn't have to worry about the kids being in the sun or deal with sunscreen and hats and all that jazz. Sierra really loves to swim and play in the water, they even had some water slides that we could take her on, it was a blast. Reece loved it too, he's even more of a fish than Sierra, although he was done swimming by the time I remembered to break out the camera. Way to go me. Anyway, here are a few pictures of Sierra, always a show off for the camera.

Hampaliter

Yesterday, as I got Sierra ready to go to my Dad's house, I told her we would be seeing her cousins and she got very excited. She started recounting to me what had happened the last time we had seen them:

"And Hannah, and Faith and we jump on the hampaliter."

"What?"

"And I got an owie on the hampaliter."

Now at this point I knew what she was talking about, but what she was saying was so cute that I of course pretended I was confused so she would explain it to me again. Then we went into the living room so she could tell daddy. Now for those of you who dont speak 3 year old, she was explaining what had happened a few weeks before while jumping on the trampoline, aka hampaliter, at my sisters house. It was so cute how she was pronouncing trampoline, and she probably cold have said it correctly if I had explained to her the pronunciation, but we were headed to my dads and I wanted her to say it for him. Ofcourse when I asked her about it at my dads Faith was right there and she happens to know how to say trampoline, so Sierra was influenced a bit by the correct pronunciaton of the word, but it still came out as trampaliter, which in my opinion is just as cute.

Express yourself

So a while back Dave was sitting with Sierra and took some pictures of her making all different faces. She has a lot of expression in her face so it's fun to see what she comes up with when you tell her "happy", "sad", "mad", "surprised", and so on. Our favorite one is the last one. Every time I see that pictue I can't help but laugh, it is so funny. Dave even put it up as the wallpaper on his 360 so every time he logs on, up pops this crazy face.

Trying it out

I've Never done anything like this before, but it looks like a lot of fun. I started reading a few blogs recently and I found myself hooked right away, to the point where I check them every day religiously and am dissapointed when nothing new has been posted. Mainly I want to start this blog so my family can be up to date on our lives and I hope they will read it. Here are just a few pics of the kids to start out and I hope to post atleast something everyday, but no promises.
