Day 3, Workout

I just finished my second workout, third day. I skipped yesterday, I think I'll start out doing every other day and then add in a day each week until I'm working out 5 or 6 times each week. I also want to start doing active things with the kids. Dave and I plan on getting bikes soon so We'll be able to go on rides as a family. I think that'll help a lot. I have a hard time working out with the kids around because as soon as I get interrupted I lose my focus and quit. I have to be able to go from start to finish.Taking the kids on bike rides will be extra work too since I'll have to pull them behind in a trailer.
Gotta go watch ANTM.

Cry Baby

I was going to sit and post something, I had no idea what, but now I'm listening to a major cry baby and can't concentrate on anything. If your wondering it's not Reece.:)

Ugh

I wish I had something interesting to blog about, but nothing is coming to me. We haven't been having a very exciting life lately. Melanie's trying to encourage me to join in her weight loss goal thingy, but it's so hard for me to commit to something like that. I don't know why I have a hard time with it, I obviously have some weight to lose, but I can't seem to get motivated. I have decided to start working out more, I hate sweating for some reason so this is really hard for me. I worked out on our elliptical machine yesterday for half an hour, it kicked my butt, but I had Sierra there supporting me the whole way, she kept saying "good job Mommy" it was really sweet. It was a good enough workout that I was sweating and had to shower immediately to get rid of the icky feeling of being sweaty. I was proud of myself for going so long, I usually give up in about 5 minutes, hopefully I can keep going with it. I might post some stats about myself once I feel a little more confident about my commitment to working out and getting healthier. We'll see.

By Request

After seeing the first Bear walk video of Reece my best friend, Shannon, insisted I put the other ones up for everyone to see. He just looks so adorable, in my opinion.

Bear Walk

Reece has been doing the cutest walk lately. I see a lot of babies doing this Mowgli, from The Jungle Book, walk, but the way Reece does it is so adorable. He seems so mechanical. I got a few different videos of it and I cant remember which one i liked best so I might post another one too.

Slide Off

I had my very first car accident today. It was the scariest thing ever. I was on my way to work, with the kids, and as I got on the freeway I realized it was really icy. I had started to accelerate as I came off the on ramp, but decided to slow down as a car ahead of me started sliding and went into the center median. As soon as I tapped my brakes, I barely touched the brake pedal, I started sliding. I was freaking out instantly, trying everything in my power to correct the problem, but there was nothing i could do. I told the kids everything was fine and said I love you to them and we slid off the freeway int a small ditch. It was terrifying, I was so worried for the kids, I couldn't imagine if anything were to happen to them. Luckily the only damage was that one of my tires was flat, but I hope this freakin weather is going to warm up already, I'm ready for spring.

In the Car

The kids and I spend a good amount of time in the car going to and from work and gymnastics and shopping and so on. I look back at Reece through my rear view mirror quite a bit because he sits right behind me. Most of the time he'll make face at me, which is really nice because it just makes my day happier.

Just a cute pic.
This is one of his best faces.
Sierra looking beautiful.
No more pictures mom, PLEASE!

Spin the Cat

Sierra has really been progressing in gymnastics. Along with being a better listener, most of the time, she's getting a lot stronger and more coordinated. One of her biggest tricks is doing a skin the cat(or as she says spin the cat). I made a video of it and her doing most of the obstacle course they set up at the beginning of class, she had already gone around quite a few times so she wasn't being the best listener at this point, and she always starts to act goofy when the camera comes out.

Painting

I needed something to entertain Reece the other day so I put him up in the highchair with a paint with water book. I didn't have the brush anymore so I just gave him a little bowl with a tiny bit of water in it. he did a great job..........at first

This is his response to my reaction, he thought he was hilarious. AHHH REFRESHING!

Movie Review: ENCHANTED

I just finished watching this movie with Sierra and we both loved it. I had a cheesy grin on my face for most of it because it's so adorable. I'm sure most everyone has seen this by now, but if not you should definitely get it. To top it off, McDreamy sings a tiny bit, very cute.

Hats On

This is Sierra's reaction to Chuck E Cheese.

The kids and I had a big day in town yesterday. After Reece took a nap we headed to Target because I hadn't been there forever and I wanted to find some sun hats for the kids since the sun is finally shining around here. I'm so glad we'll be able to play outside, even though it means hats, shades and sunscreen. We spent a good hour or more in the store just looking around and getting a few things that we needed, when we left it was so warm out that the kids didn't even need to wear jackets, YAY! After Target we went to PetSmart so the kids could see some animals, we had a party to go to for my niece, Faith, but we had a lot of time to waste. PetSmart only adopts out cats, as far as I know, but customers are allowed to bring their animals in to shop and they have a grooming salon inside so we just walked around and Sierra got so excited over all of the dogs inside. Every time she saw a new dog she had to point out something about it,"look, mommy, a big dog","look a brown dog"," that one has big ears", and so on. She didn't want to leave the store, but she finally agreed when I reminded her we were going to Chuck E Cheese's for the Birthday party. She was so excited for the party all day, she couldn't wait to get out the door and was talking to random people in the store about going to Chuck E Cheese. Once Chuck himself made his first appearance she wouldn't leave our side, she wanted to be held and hid from him anytime he came around, she doesn't even like climbing in the tubes. It seems completely pointless to even take her there, except of course that it was for a party, but it wouldn't be one of those places that I could just take the kids so they could play.

Much Better Day

Today has actually been very nice. Since it's General Conference Weekend I didn't have to worry about getting all of us up and ready for church, Hooray for finally having a computer with audio capabilities!!! While I listened to the morning session I cleaned the kitchen, I cant say I was completely focused on the entire thing, but it felt nice just having it playing in our home. The kids and I had lunch around 12 and then I put Reece down for his nap, I put a movie on in my room for Sierra and her and I laid in bed watching it, I had hoped she would fall asleep, but she didn't, I did though. When her movie was over, she played while I scoured our master bathroom, it was BAD. By that point Reece was up so the kids had a snack and then we went for a walk. It's been raining off and on all morning, but it was dry enough for us to go out. It was so nice to get out of the house, we haven't left it all weekend. It was a bit windy and a little chilly, but it was worth it, and since Sissy didn't get a nap today it probably helped to wear her down a bit so bed time should be a little bit early if I'm lucky.

Rough Days

Reece has been getting new teeth lately and is having a really hard time. Today is was really fussy for the second half of the morning and I was just trying to keep him happy until nap time, Meme was coming over to babysit while I ran to the doctor and I figured it'd be easier on her if I went while he was sleeping, so I put him up in the highchair with some snacks and went into my room to fold a load of laundry. When I came out I found my sweet boy like this....

He was so zonked, He slept in that chair long enough for me to take some pictures and than break out the video camera all while Sierra was yelling at me from the couch that she wanted water. He slept through me swapping him to his crib and slept for a good 3 hrs. I wish I could say all he needed was rest and he woke up happy, but he was just as crabby when he woke up. These teeth are a bummer.
